Following results of the inquiry conducted after the devastating Victorian bushfires, a new Fire Danger Rating has been put in place across the country.
From
The NSW Rural Fire Service:
Whether it's the area you live in or an area you're travelling to, it's vital to know the new Bush Fire Danger Ratings and have a plan for what you'll do at each level.
At Severe, only well-prepared homes may provide safe shelter during bush fire.
At Extreme, it can be dangerous to stay in any home not specifically constructed to withstand bush fires.
At Catastrophic, if there is a fire, your life is at risk. Leaving early is your safest option.
Do you know today's Fire Danger Rating for where you live or where you're travelling to?
