Clothing drive benefits Alexandria Community Centre

The staff at Real Insurance have donated the proceeds from their ‘Winter Clothing Drive’ to the Alexandria Community Centre and the Save The Children charity.
Approximately 250 Real Insurance staff contributed to the clothing drive. It is hoped this substantial clothing donation will provide warmth and comfort for people in need over the winter months.
Janet Cameron, Save The Children, says: “A huge thanks to all the staff at Real Insurance for organising the wonderful donation of clothes – it is much appreciated by both the local community centre and Save the Children.
“The Save the Children Mobile Play Bus works in close conjunction with the Alexandria Community Centre to address the needs of local families. The Community Centre offers access to services such as a toy library as well as providing clothing for children and adults who may need it.
“Families accessing the Save the Children Mobile Play Service are made aware of the various services of the Community Centre with many being provided with warm clothing for the winter months.”
Roger Grobler, CEO of Real Insurance says: “Over the past year we have experienced great success and it is time to start giving something back to the communities that have helped us to grow.
“This is part of a series of ‘Real Needs’ initiatives that we have been undertaking in various communities and will continue to do so over the coming months. They are simply about our staff caring for people and the company has come to the table by providing those who volunteer with a days paid leave.”
