A Start in Life is a charity that has been giving underprivileged Australian children financial and emotional support to receive an all-round and fulfilling education for over 87 years. Three members of the Real Needs team – Alice, Jerome and Katherine – helped them out one morning by packing boxes of sunflowers that the charity sells to raise funds.
Although the day was cold and windy, fortunately most of the work was completed inside. In a short space of time, the three volunteers managed to pack four pallets of sunflowers, to be distributed to retail stores who sell them for the charity.
Staff from a Start in Life expressed their gratitude for the volunteers’ conscientious effort to complete as much as possible in a short timeframe. The volunteers felt happy that their efforts had helped.
“It was good to know that that as employees of Real we can make a difference,” said Jerome.
