I didn't compare it with any other insurer providing pay as you drive, but I was happy with the premium.
Simple and easy process to obtain car insurance online. Pay as you drive option not available with previous insurer, and the premium was very reasonable.

Not easy to talk to as they don’t pick up the phone. Don’t answer emails either.
Had a very surly lady on the phone when trying to discuss what I needed to obtain for a payout. Wait time for someone to answer the phone was on average 45 minutes.

Good extras available at competitive rates. Agreed value available for older cars. Price comparison on the website was significantly cheaper than the policy renewal offered.
Online price comparison had a significant difference to the renewal I was sent. Couldn't find all of the features that I needed online so I had to call to ask questions. The representative I spoke with was very difficult to understand and was quite apathetic and wasn't very easy to follow or deal with. I would say he didn't really care much for his job. This was off putting and as a result I tried to persist with my quote and policy myself. If I couldn't figure it out, I was going to go with an insurer who had an easier to navigate website and better trained staff who were more perceptive to customers questions and needs. Prices are competitive and they offer agreed value on older cars.

We had 2 vehicles completely destroyed in garage fire recently and Real Insurance were very quick to deal with our claims. Very much appreciated service and updates from staff. Consequently we have insured our new vehicles with them.

I was kept on the phone for 1.5 hours. too long

Good value for money but slow service
I wanted a simple quote for a new car and was kept on the phone for 1.5 hours which I thought was far too long. The operator on the other line kept asking me same questions over and over which I found annoying.
