Be upfront with excess options

Big difference from initial quote to the final rate but took a lot of questions on my part. You nearly lost a customer
The operator had a thick accent and we both struggled to understand each other. He didn't go over the excess options. When I asked whhy the rate was so much more than previous years he said it was because of my new (second hand) car. After accepting I then remembered I could change the excess and had to go through the process again to get a better rate. Happy now, but he should have been more upfront with options.

The dramatic price rise and having to spend hours on the phone I just don't have atm. Sad thing is there is no reward for loyalty anymore
Unfortunately after my insurance went up astronomically I had to call up and ask about why etc. When speaking with Anna (I think now) first she was amazing letting me know that the insurance that had gone up dramatically wasn't even correct (my words not hers) I appreciated her time to put everything in place correctly for me.

The guy new his products well and helped me arrive at the best option, as the car has become a restore project in my retirement. The car will mostly be being worked on for the next 12 months.

Too much noise in background whilst talking to your rep. Also accent very broad and hard to understand at times.
