Great service, terrible renewal policy

Tired of dealing with the same issue every year of auto policy renewal for a higher premium than a new customer.
The lady I spoke with on the phone was professional & courteous. I cannot fault their customer service (that said, I have never had to make a claim). However, I resent having to cancel my policy each year and take out a new policy to enable the best possible price. It is irritating beyond belief. They were quite happy to automatically renew my policy (even though I have NEVER authorised them to do this), whereas by cancelling my policy and coming back as a "new" customer I managed to save myself over $50. I think I might go elsewhere next year. There is obviously no reward for customer loyalty.

As per previous question -
We moved interstate so we had to have a new policy. in doing so we lost approx 1200klm we had as a credit carry over. I also asked for the policy to be the same as what we had only to find out when policy was received the insured amount was $600 less. Just so you know I havent had time at the moment to review and look at other insurers. Their is a very good chance when I have I will be cancelling this policy. I was looking at insuring our other car with Real Insurance when the current policy finished but I am in second thoughts now.

poor service, and an explanation about the policy should be sent out - a hard copy to help customer understand what they applied and paying for, instead of expecting customers to sign up without a hardcopy evidence provisioned.
