the telephone contact is very good (=experienced CSO's); the website for quote is clearly set out (what you are covered for; what is included or extra) i.e. dos not try to trick you; short but meaningful explanations; a lot of the docs are on the website so one can download and read it

It saved me money compared with my last year insurer.
The only dealings I have had so far is to take out home and contents insurance with them. My sister had reason to make a claim against a person that had run into her car and my sister was very happy with real for handling the claim against the person's insurance policy. Everything were smoothly for her.

The online process was easy to navigate. It had questions that suit if you are not moving into the house (other insurance companies don't). The quote was a lot cheaper than others as well. The only negative is that it is not a 24/7 service. We rang to ask a question and were told we would have to ring back during business hours.
We are buying a house in Qld and as per their law, as soon as you sign a contract, you have to take out insurance by 5pm the next business day. Other insurance companies don't seem to cater for people who aren't actually living in the house at the time. Their mandatory questions are which month did you move in? Real Insurance me our needs.

I have been through a claim process which was painful through an extremely traumatic experience. It made me seriously look at my insurance options. Real still came up trumps but I feel better about it knowing the hoops you might have to jump through for a serious claim - just hope for my own sake I never ever have one of those again! Insurance never really covers everything. Valuable lesson.
The phone consultant was friendly helpful and patient. I am used to dealing with Real now and know some time is involved, but having an operator I can understand, and who was also positive and had a ‘let’s do this’ attitude instead of ‘I know i’m Not making you happy but I really need this information’, it was refreshing.

Have been with Real for many years, recently thought we would try another insurance Co .... boy was that a mistake. Cancelled that policy and came back to Real
EXCELLENT SERVICE actually got to talk to customer Service person here in Aust and also without going through multiple selections of numbers
